SEASON AT A GLANCE: German, a two-time City Section champion, is 9-0 with three pins in the 171-pound class. He opened the season two weeks ago by placing first in the Camarillo individual tournament.

WEEK AT A GLANCE: German placed first in the two-day North Torrance tournament, defeating Robert Espinoza of Rosemead, 11-3, in the final. His toughest match came in the quarterfinals when he scored a takedown in sudden-death overtime for a 4-2 decision over Andreik De Leon of El Camino Real.
