Keppel 38, Hoover 6--The Tornadoes were held to 69 yards in a loss at Glendale High.

Armond Esmaili rushed for 57 yards in 17 carries to account for the bulk of Hoover’s offense.

The Tornadoes (0-3) had five turnovers and Keppel (1-2) returned two interceptions for touchdowns.

Christopher Arias rushed for 114 in 20 carries and scored on a 55-yard run for the Aztecs, who led, 18-0, at halftime. He also intercepted a pass and returned it 35 yards for a score.
