Woodland Hills Elementary School needs help. The school is seeking volunteers for a campus beautification day to be held Saturday.
Based on the success of a similar event held in May, organizers said they decided to do it again.
More than 100 students, teachers, parents and local business people participated in the May event, scrubbing tables and benches, washing windows, waxing floors, pulling weeds, trimming trees and painting, said Lori Borcover, chairwoman of the event. “There was such a huge improvement that, before the day was over, people were asking when they could do it again,” she said.
Saturday’s workday will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the school, 22201 San Miguel St. in Woodland Hills.
