A 21-year-old Spring Valley man was killed Tuesday night when the motorcycle he was driving struck a curb at Chase Avenue and Hardin Drive in El Cajon.

Scott Hansen was going east on Chase Avenue when he failed to make a turn onto Hardin Drive, an El Cajon police spokesman said.

The motorcycle struck two curbs before sliding to a stop. Hansen suffered fatal head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, the spokesman said.
