Three San Diego County men were arrested Monday in connection with an attack on an Oklahoma attorney.
Robert Brian Boeckman, 27, of Santee was arrested at his office at Rockwell Energy Corp. in San Diego, where he is an executive, San Diego police said. He was booked on suspicion of conspiring to commit murder and attempted murder, police said.
Also arrested on the same counts were Vernon Earl James, 33, of Ocean Beach, and Charles Worack, 43, of San Diego.
The men were arrested in connection with the Aug. 8 shooting of Dover, Okla., attorney Robert Lincoln Barr. Barr was struck in the face with a shotgun blast fired through the window of his home. He received only superficial wounds because the window was double-paned, police said.
Police allege that Boeckman hired James and Worack to travel to Oklahoma and kill Barr because of a financial deal that had gone sour.
The three men, who are in County Jail, will be arraigned on the charges at 2 p.m. today in Superior Court.
